Urban Maternity Photo Session

While Todd was away for Memorial Day weekend, I got together with a friend from a local photography group. She is expecting another boy in July which will be her last child, so she wanted to get as many maternity photos done as possible. Liza has some experience in modeling as well, so she was really giving the camera some great moves. We had a lot of fun and her son Brenden was along for the session as well. He's going to be a great big brother.

To My Dad

Happy Memorial Day to a Dad who served in the Vietnam War. I'm so proud to have a Dad who served his country and did it willingly. Happy Memorial Day to all the veterans and those who are still working for their country, and wishes that everyone comes home safely from the Iraq War.

Dudes at the Beach

Todd is making a day drive to Destin, FL this weekend, to celebrate his friend Christian's upcoming wedding. They've been good friends since they were kids, growing up in New Orleans and getting into all sorts of trouble. Well, they've mellowed out a bit now but plan to have a great time this weekend hanging out at the beach with a bunch of the guys and cooking out. Here's a couple of photos from Christian's graduation from Alabama a few years ago. Todd and the other "muskateer" from New Orleans, Gary are in the photo with Christian.

Our Little Peanut

Yep we're expecting! We had our first doctor's visit this past Friday, and held off on revealing the news to the parent's for a special Mother's Day surprise. Needless to say, our parent's reactions were all very unique but all extremely excited. This will be the first grandchild for both sides, and we're sure it will be plenty spoiled with love.

We started calling it peanut, since it's currently about the size of one. I'm sure this nickname will stick long after the kid is born.

A Day at the Garden

Jennifer had her adorable little baby Emma last November, and we had talked about getting together for a photo shoot. Her sister Maggie came to visit with her little cutie Samantha, so we all got together for a fun day at Leu Gardens. The weather was just perfect and there were tons of roses blooming! We spent a couple of hours, three outfit changes, and one snack break while enjoying the gardens and the great weather. Little Samantha ended up with a bump on the head, but was all better with some kisses from Mommy. Such a little trooper! Thanks everyone for a fun morning and congratulations to Maggie on expecting her second child!

Off to China

Lisa and Baran are getting married in China. The official tying the knot is in June with a mix of a Chinese and Western ceremonies. They wanted to get some traditional portraits done before the ceremony so that they could display them at the hotel. It was a fun and festive day with balloons, bubbles and dodging another wedding that was about to start. Luckily, we got the shots we needed closer to the other ceremony and we were able to move on to some other great locations. No snags in this day and everyone was up for some fun and creative shots!
