Announcing...

Dylan Scott Clements born on December 14th at 1:21 am! Here's a few photos from the first few days of his life. We're planning a couple of official portrait sessions for him this week.

Our Maternity Session

Not but a week or two before the baby arrives, and our good friend Liza did some gorgeous maternity portraits for us. We've become friends through some photography groups, and it's so nice to build such a great relationship among professional photographers. Thank you so much Liza. We will really cherish these images and can wait to put some on our walls!

Baby Room Completed

2 months, 200 nails, and 2000 swear words later the baby room is finally complete.  A lot of sweat and heart went into making this room the masterpiece we believe it to be, but somehow I think it's more for us than it is for him??? As you can tell, we're extremely excited to be having our first child.

Todd and I went to Prenatal Impressions this past Friday to get a 3D/4D sonogram done. It was so cool to see the little guy's face! He gave us all kinds of cool facial expressions and didn't shy away from the sonogram wand until the very end.

30 Week Update

Thirty weeks and four days today, and we're still working on the baby room! Well Todd has been very busy with his landscape architecture renderings and we haven't had much time to finish up the room. We're looking forward to this weekend so that we can get more done in the room.

Mom Kasprzyk came over today and bought us the crib we wanted from IKEA and a few other cute items. We're excited about putting the crib together once the room is finished. Of course, once we were done baby shopping, we girls hit the shops for some new clothes and jewelry. This is one of my new outfits. I love it when I can find cute clothes that aren't maternity clothes!

Touring the Hospital

On Monday evening we toured the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. It's the best hospital in town for delivering and we're fortunate to be so close by.

The hospital is only one year old and has already earned the nickname the "Ritz Carlton" of hospitals. The facilities are very nice and they even have a concierge desk where you can order a gourmet meal, fancy linens and robes and slippers.

Working on the Baby's Room

Last week we started working on the baby's room. Figuring we're over halfway there, we'd better get it done so that we can purchase the nursery furniture. We're big fans of IKEA, so we'll be getting the nursery furniture and decorations from there. It's going to be a fun and bright room that we're hoping baby boy will love.

Of course the cats always have to be in on the action. They're investigating every square inch and anything that comes into the room.

Baby Sitting and Practice!

This past Saturday we had the opportunity to babysit for our friends John and Lauren. Their little guy George is such a cutie and so even tempered. We had a lot of fun keeping up with him while John and Lauren attended a wedding in town. The last time I saw George he was such a little guy and now he's crawling and pulling himself up on his feet.

Thanks John and Lauren for trusting us with your precious boy and thank you for the adorable baby pajamas for our soon to be baby boy. Hope to see you guys again soon!

Bump's First Flight

This past weekend we flew and drove to Hunstville, Alabama for Todd's friend Christian's wedding. Seeing as it was little guys first plane flight, we had to capture the moment. The belly shot in the airplane was on the way up to Atlanta, and the shot in airport was on the way back to Orlando. When Todd asked me to pose by the window for the second shot, the pilot waved from the cockpit. I wonder if he noticed the bump?

Baby Bump

I swear I woke up this past Sunday and my belly had literally popped out! Seems like something happens with my belly every Sunday after the weekly mark. This is my belly at 20 weeks and 5 days today.

Todd and I are leaving for Alabama tomorrow. His good friend Christian is getting married and Todd he will be delivering the most amazing best man speech ever. Well he doesn't think so yet, but I think it's going to be a smash hit.

Our First Baby Gift!

Grandma and Grandpa-to-Be Clements didn't waste any time ordering off of the baby registry. They knew what they wanted to get us! We were so excited and surprised to receive this big box in the mail last week, that we put it together immediately. It's a great stroller/jogger that we can use when the baby can hold his head up. In the meantime, we'll be carrying him in a sling until he's big enough to go in the stroller. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Clements!

Who is Our Baby Boy Going to Look Like?

Isn't he the cutest! So we're wondering who our little boy is going to look like? I found a couple of baby photos of Todd and will scrounge up some of myself as well. It's fun to imagine who he'll look like. One thing for sure is that he'll have blond hair unless he gets a stray gene from grandmas or grandpas.

Shopping is fun!

Aren't these just the cutest!! I've been searching far and wide for hip baby clothes that are affordable. Well lucky us we stopped in Babies-R-Us on Friday night and they were having an additional twenty percent off of their clearance items.

Todd got so excited when he saw the little t-shirt with the guitar on it. He's going to be our little rockstar baby. I'm also totally addicted to this Web site, Baby Rock Apparel and may have to make a purchase in the near future.
