Dylan's Six Month Portrait

So we all made a trip to the Grand Bohemian downtown. I'm shooting Jon and DeeDee's engagement portraits there tomorrow, and I thought I'd take a test shot using my reliable model. He was due to have his six month old portrait anyway. Todd thinks he looks like a little rock star hanging out in the hotel bar.

New Beginnings

Todd's parents, Dwight and Sheryl came into town this past weekend to meet Dylan for the first time. They were more than excited to get here to meet him and had an emotional response to seeing him for the very first time. Dylan rewarded them with lots of smiles and "conversation" and Grandma and Grandpa spoiled him with lots of love and a shopping trip to Babies-R-Us.

On the last night they were here we converted our living room into a studio and spent the evening taking portraits of them with Dylan. Here are a few of our favorites.

Dylan and the Apple

So I had this zany idea for Dylan's three month portrait and it didn't work exactly as I wanted it but I really love the out takes. I think this triptych is definitely going on our wall. Click on the image to see it larger.

It's also amazing how much Dylan's personality has come out over the last month or so. He's almost three and a half months and out of the newborn stage so we've seen him blossom into an adorable baby boy. He loves to talk and laugh and sing and is very energetic. I think we'll be in trouble when he starts walking!

A Portrait a Week

If I can keep it up, i'm going to take a portrait a week of Dylan. We're all settled in to our new family life, so it's gotten much easier to get things done around the house, including taking more photos of Dylan.

The first portrait is Dylan at 10 weeks old, taken just yesterday. It looks like he's saying, " Okay Mom I'm done with taking pictures!" The second portrait is Dylan at 9 weeks old. He's sporting a Baby Gap onesie. They have the cutest baby clothes!

Tomorrow I'll be shooting a wedding and it will be the longest I've ever been away from my little boy. I have full faith that Todd will take great care of him because he always does, but that doesn't mean I won't miss my two favorite people.

I am looking forward to shooting this wedding. It's going to be gorgeous weather and I can't wait to shoot at the Winter Park Civic Center. Check back on Monday for a sneak peek from Chuck and Christina's wedding.

Two Month Portraits

Two months have gone by since the arrival of our little guy and his little personality is coming through. He lets us know when he's hungry loudly just to make sure that we hear him. He's also started giving us big grins and talks to us by cooing and gooing. He's a very sweet little boy and he loves to cuddle and study everyone's faces. We're quite enjoying being new parents even if it is the toughest job in the world!

Portraits of Our Family

About a week ago Dylan was in a good and sleep mood so we took advantage of the moment to take some family portraits. He loves to be held so it wasn't difficult to take some portraits with him...until he got hungry that is. 

He's Still Keeping Us Very Busy...

and we are very much enjoying it. 

One Month Old!

Dylan turned one month old yesterday so I snapped a few photos of him. He's looking rather dapper in his Amy Coe outfit from Babies-R-Us. I just love her clothing line for babies!

Yep...More Portraits of the Little Guy!

What can I say? He is our favorite subject! He's doing great and growing like a weed! We can't believe that he'll already be a month old this Sunday as well. I'm cuddling him as much as possible before he grows up too fast.

Cameron Family Portraits

A little rain wouldn't keep us away! And it's a great thing it stopped in time for us to take plenty of portraits. We had a fun time at Baldwin Park feeding the ducks, exploring the park and avoiding muddy grass. The entire family is very photogenic so it made our jobs so much easier.

Cutie Patootie!

I had the pleasure of working with this little one this morning and she was just so even tempered. Mommy and Daddy adopted her recently and she's just fit right into the new family.

We had a fun time exploring and taking her portraits and she had no problem wearing the pettiskirt. Thanks to Carolyn for letting me take portraits of this gorgeous little girl.

Baby Announcements

One of our favorite little clients needed to announce her arrival, so we designed an announcement from Mommy's idea. We really loved how she cooperated so well for the portrait session because she gave us such great imagery for this announcement.

We will be including this in our Newborn packages and are preparing to offer a Baby Plan for baby's first year. If you know of anyone who is expecting, this is a fabulous gift that they can register for, and have friends and family help by contributing to their registry.

It's never too early or late to start portrait sessions for your new baby. The time goes by so fast and you'll want to cherish these moments many years from now when they're grown and starting their own families.

Baby Sitting and Practice!

This past Saturday we had the opportunity to babysit for our friends John and Lauren. Their little guy George is such a cutie and so even tempered. We had a lot of fun keeping up with him while John and Lauren attended a wedding in town. The last time I saw George he was such a little guy and now he's crawling and pulling himself up on his feet.

Thanks John and Lauren for trusting us with your precious boy and thank you for the adorable baby pajamas for our soon to be baby boy. Hope to see you guys again soon!

Fresh Out of the Oven

Our maternity clients Michelle and Jose had their beautiful baby girl on June 24th. Aryanna is a gorgeous little girl and she was so good for the camera. Michelle and Jose look great and very happy with their new baby girl and you couldn't tell that they had a newborn. No signs of sleepless nights or maybe they're just hiding it very well!

Congratulations to both of you for making such a beautiful baby!

New Little Man

This past Sunday, while we were leaving our weekend in St. Petersburg, we had the pleasure of stopping by for a baby session in the Tampa area. This little guy is two months old and was such a pleasure to photograph. He was bright eyed and happy to be in front of the camera.

Little Jayden is Judith and Germaine's first baby and is also the first grandchild for both sides of the family. Congrats to all of you for a wonderful addition to the family. He is a cutie!

A Day at the Garden

Jennifer had her adorable little baby Emma last November, and we had talked about getting together for a photo shoot. Her sister Maggie came to visit with her little cutie Samantha, so we all got together for a fun day at Leu Gardens. The weather was just perfect and there were tons of roses blooming! We spent a couple of hours, three outfit changes, and one snack break while enjoying the gardens and the great weather. Little Samantha ended up with a bump on the head, but was all better with some kisses from Mommy. Such a little trooper! Thanks everyone for a fun morning and congratulations to Maggie on expecting her second child!
