Sunday in the Park Group Mixer

Yesterday we drove to Auburndale which is just before Lakeland to meet up with some fellow photographers. We've been friends with these gals for a couple of years now, and we all make an effort to get together about twice a year. Everyone brought their little cuties and it was fun and mayhem all over the place.

I grabbed a couple of quick shots of the other gal's babies but was mostly obsessed with my little man and adorable husband. After all of the hoopla, we all needed to cool down so we had some yummy ice cream. This was Dylan's first taste of ice cream and I think he is certainly hooked! He wouldn't let me take a bite of my own ice cream after he got a taste.

A New Family is Born

Congratulations to Doug and Tennille on the arrival of their little girl. Danielle didn't want to come out so they had to encourage her to come and join the world! She is a precious little girl and cooperated so well for her first photo session. She had to take a break to eat because all of the modeling wore her out. Thank you for allowing me to capture these special moments of your new family guys!

Mommy and Me

I met Kim last year through a Mommy's group that she created and we were pregnant at the same time and both due in December. We also toured the Winnie Palmer hospital together along with our husbands. I'm so glad she asked me to do portraits of her with her little girl. She is a precious little girl and so sweet tempered. Thanks Kim for allowing me to capture portraits of you and your daughter.

Five Months...Umm...More Like Five and a Half Months!

We've been so busy lately that I didn't get to Dylan's five month portraits so let's call these his five and a half month portraits! In a couple more weeks he'll be six months old. This past week he sat up on his own for the first time. We took some video of the big event. He's sitting up in one of these portraits, but it was only for a second before he fell over! He's also rolling around everywhere and wants to stay busy playing with toys. He's definitely become the ladies man too because he loves to smile at all of them. I can't believe how much cuter he gets everyday!

Awaiting Their Baby Girl

Douglas and Tennille are expecting their baby girl at the end of this month. These two were such a silly and fun couple and I could tell they cared about each other very much. Well it shows easily in their portraits too!

Tennille looks great for being so close to her due date! They live near the Dairy Queen that I had an addiction to while I was pregnant but she is a very healthy eater so I doubt she's had anything from that Dairy Queen during her pregnancy. Anyway, we had a great time shooting their portraits and their dog Kayla was a perfect subject too. I can't wait to meet your little girl very soon. Here's to an easy and healthy delivery Tennille!

Family Portraits in West Palm

I'm a little behind in posting these because we've had a wonderfully busy couple of weeks. We celebrating my Mom's sixtieth birthday with a big bash this past weekend and spent my first Mother's Day with my Mom, Dad, Aunt and of course my wonderful husband and little boy.

Todd surprised all of us with a deluxe breakfast from McDonald's. I had McDonald's pancakes for breakfast when I was in labor with Dylan, so this was a nice surprise and nice reminder of that wonderful day.

While we were in West Palm Beach a couple of weeks ago, we took some family portraits in the hotel room. I just loved the idea of having some intimate family portraits on the bed and plan on using this theme in future client portraits. There's just something relaxing and intimate about lying in a cozy bed!

Easter Family Portraits

Mom and Dad Kasprzyk came over for Easter Sunday and we made them an Easter brunch complete with Mimosas. It was so yummy and we were all in a good mood after having Mimosas. My Mom and Dad also brought Dylan some new toys and an outfit. He loves pressing the buttons on his baby laptop! Before they had to head home, we took some family portraits behind the house.

Four Months Old

Happy four months Dylan! Today is his official four month birthday and he just gets cuter and cuter every day. His little personality is in full bloom too. He loves to smile a lot and is big into electronics. His Grandma K bought him a toy remote control and baby's first laptop which he loves to play with. It's fun to watch him grow with every month's portrait.

New Beginnings

Todd's parents, Dwight and Sheryl came into town this past weekend to meet Dylan for the first time. They were more than excited to get here to meet him and had an emotional response to seeing him for the very first time. Dylan rewarded them with lots of smiles and "conversation" and Grandma and Grandpa spoiled him with lots of love and a shopping trip to Babies-R-Us.

On the last night they were here we converted our living room into a studio and spent the evening taking portraits of them with Dylan. Here are a few of our favorites.

Kristine and Chuck

Well seeing that this was my first wedding after having the baby, I think it was a great success! Of course it helped that Kristine was a gorgeous bride and Chuck is so photogenic. This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Winter Park Civic Center as well. It was such a beautiful location with plenty of beautiful trees that I had to use in the portraits.

Kristine and Chuck have been dating for eight years and decided to tie the knot. After about a year of planning they put together a wedding with lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Chuck is a Landscape Designer so he is so very knowledgeable about plants. His groomsmen worked hard putting together the wedding ceremony and family members made all of the food. Kristine and her friends and family made the favors and decorations as well.

They pulled it off very well for doing everything themselves. It looked like a professional put the wedding together.

The weather was just beautiful and it couldn't have been a more perfect wedding and reception. Thanks and congratulations to both of you. I can't wait to see you after your honeymoon and introduce you both to Dylan.

A Portrait a Week

If I can keep it up, i'm going to take a portrait a week of Dylan. We're all settled in to our new family life, so it's gotten much easier to get things done around the house, including taking more photos of Dylan.

The first portrait is Dylan at 10 weeks old, taken just yesterday. It looks like he's saying, " Okay Mom I'm done with taking pictures!" The second portrait is Dylan at 9 weeks old. He's sporting a Baby Gap onesie. They have the cutest baby clothes!

Tomorrow I'll be shooting a wedding and it will be the longest I've ever been away from my little boy. I have full faith that Todd will take great care of him because he always does, but that doesn't mean I won't miss my two favorite people.

I am looking forward to shooting this wedding. It's going to be gorgeous weather and I can't wait to shoot at the Winter Park Civic Center. Check back on Monday for a sneak peek from Chuck and Christina's wedding.

Two Month Portraits

Two months have gone by since the arrival of our little guy and his little personality is coming through. He lets us know when he's hungry loudly just to make sure that we hear him. He's also started giving us big grins and talks to us by cooing and gooing. He's a very sweet little boy and he loves to cuddle and study everyone's faces. We're quite enjoying being new parents even if it is the toughest job in the world!
