Babies, Zebras and Horses!

About a week ago, I got together with some friends for a group shoot. Everyone brought their adorable kiddos and we met at a friend's ranch. Kay has a zebra, two horses and a mini horse. The bigger kids loved feeding the animals and we loved the location for taking portraits. It had a cool horse stall, wooden fences and plenty of tall grass.

My Hottie Hairstylist

Bobby and I did a quick portrait session before my hair appointment yesterday. He wanted to update his newsletter photo and we took a few more for fun! I keep telling Bobby he should be a model. What do you think? ;)

By the way, if you're looking for a fantastic hair stylist, contact Bobby. He works at Vamp Hair Studio and they've just moved into their new location in Thorton Park.

Dylan's Six Month Portrait

So we all made a trip to the Grand Bohemian downtown. I'm shooting Jon and DeeDee's engagement portraits there tomorrow, and I thought I'd take a test shot using my reliable model. He was due to have his six month old portrait anyway. Todd thinks he looks like a little rock star hanging out in the hotel bar.

Click on the picture to see it bigger. It's even better when you see it larger.

Mommy and Me

I met Kim last year through a Mommy's group that she created and we were pregnant at the same time and both due in December. We also toured the Winnie Palmer hospital together along with our husbands. I'm so glad she asked me to do portraits of her with her little girl. She is a precious little girl and so sweet tempered. Thanks Kim for allowing me to capture portraits of you and your daughter.

Five Months...Umm...More Like Five and a Half Months!

We've been so busy lately that I didn't get to Dylan's five month portraits so let's call these his five and a half month portraits! In a couple more weeks he'll be six months old. This past week he sat up on his own for the first time. We took some video of the big event. He's sitting up in one of these portraits, but it was only for a second before he fell over! He's also rolling around everywhere and wants to stay busy playing with toys. He's definitely become the ladies man too because he loves to smile at all of them. I can't believe how much cuter he gets everyday!

Family Portraits in West Palm

I'm a little behind in posting these because we've had a wonderfully busy couple of weeks. We celebrating my Mom's sixtieth birthday with a big bash this past weekend and spent my first Mother's Day with my Mom, Dad, Aunt and of course my wonderful husband and little boy.

Todd surprised all of us with a deluxe breakfast from McDonald's. I had McDonald's pancakes for breakfast when I was in labor with Dylan, so this was a nice surprise and nice reminder of that wonderful day.

While we were in West Palm Beach a couple of weeks ago, we took some family portraits in the hotel room. I just loved the idea of having some intimate family portraits on the bed and plan on using this theme in future client portraits. There's just something relaxing and intimate about lying in a cozy bed!

New Beginnings

Todd's parents, Dwight and Sheryl came into town this past weekend to meet Dylan for the first time. They were more than excited to get here to meet him and had an emotional response to seeing him for the very first time. Dylan rewarded them with lots of smiles and "conversation" and Grandma and Grandpa spoiled him with lots of love and a shopping trip to Babies-R-Us.

On the last night they were here we converted our living room into a studio and spent the evening taking portraits of them with Dylan. Here are a few of our favorites.

A Portrait a Week

If I can keep it up, i'm going to take a portrait a week of Dylan. We're all settled in to our new family life, so it's gotten much easier to get things done around the house, including taking more photos of Dylan.

The first portrait is Dylan at 10 weeks old, taken just yesterday. It looks like he's saying, " Okay Mom I'm done with taking pictures!" The second portrait is Dylan at 9 weeks old. He's sporting a Baby Gap onesie. They have the cutest baby clothes!

Tomorrow I'll be shooting a wedding and it will be the longest I've ever been away from my little boy. I have full faith that Todd will take great care of him because he always does, but that doesn't mean I won't miss my two favorite people.

I am looking forward to shooting this wedding. It's going to be gorgeous weather and I can't wait to shoot at the Winter Park Civic Center. Check back on Monday for a sneak peek from Chuck and Christina's wedding.

Portraits of Our Family

About a week ago Dylan was in a good and sleep mood so we took advantage of the moment to take some family portraits. He loves to be held so it wasn't difficult to take some portraits with him...until he got hungry that is.

Over two weeks old...time is flying!

Our little guy is now 16 days old and it's so cool to look back at his one day old photos and videos. He's changed so much and is getting a nice layer of baby fat to boot. He loves to cuddle and still eats like a horse, which is okay with us. Since he was on the smaller side when he was born, we figured he had some catching up to do.

We're enjoying tremendously being new parents and still can't believe we have such a precious little boy in our arms!

Hip and Urban Family

Well we're wrapping things up in preparation for our baby boy's arrival. What better way to end our portrait sessions this year than with this great family! The weather was just perfect for portraits today, and we had fun touring around downtown. There were all kinds of fun spots to explore. Thank you Amanda for sharing your gorgeous family with us!

Cameron Family Portraits

A little rain wouldn't keep us away! And it's a great thing it stopped in time for us to take plenty of portraits. We had a fun time at Baldwin Park feeding the ducks, exploring the park and avoiding muddy grass. The entire family is very photogenic so it made our jobs so much easier.
